Resources for Graduate Students

Being a graduate student is filled with a myriad of challenges that you may, or may not, be expecting. That’s why we’re creating and curating these resources for graduate students like you!

Often, graduate schools and advisors assume you have developed all the skills you need to be successful in graduate school. They take for granted that you’ve learned things like:

  • project management
  • networking
  • writing for journals or grants
  • digital organization
  • time management
  • staying motivated
  • overcoming procrastination
  • making amazing presentations
  • dealing with difficult advisors and colleagues
  • avoiding difficult advisors in the first place
  • how to stay calm, collected, and in control
  • knowing what to do when you don’t know what to do
  • and more…

But, when was the last time you had a class teach you how to communicate with colleagues? and what about juggling multiple tasks? Hell, there’s an entire professional certification program in project management and you’re just expected to know how to do it?!?

Well, we here at Graduate Student Greatness know what it’s like to be thrown into the deep end of the pool and be expected to swim and we want to help. That’s why we’re here, to give you the mentorship every graduate student deserves so you can succeed, not just in graduate school, but throughout your career.
